  • orthotics and other in-shoe devices
  • joint and soft tissue mobilisation techniques
  • gait re-training
  • general foot treatment such as routine nail care, the removal of corns and callus and wart treatments
  • acupuncture and dry needling
  • management and treatment of foot skin conditions
  • nail surgery for ingrown toenails
  • specialised foot care and diabetes education/diabetes specific management.

Treatment will be tailored to suit each persons lifestyle requirements. This will include teaching maintenance and self management techniques to improve quality of life now, as well as providing a better outlook for the future.

A referral from a doctor is not required to see a podiatrist.

For your appointment, please bring the following:

  • Sporting and casual shoes that show wear patterns.
  • Your current orthotics (if applicable).
  • Any relevant X-rays and medical reports.
  • Private health fund details.

Fees and charges

The fees charged by SPORTSMED·SA Podiatry are regarded as being very reasonable for the high standard of service offered. 

Generally, most health funds will rebate you for podiatry services. Any gap payments are expected to be settled on the day of the consultation. Our on-the-spot health fund claim system will process your transaction immediately after your appointment. Medicare coverage is very limited, condition specific and reliant on a referral from a GP.
